The MONO-SOCK tongue features elastic bands that provide tension and support from heel to forefoot. The Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System technology combines with the lightweight flexible midsole to provide excellent cushioning. Open Mesh Upper Constructed with an open mesh upper the Asics GEL-FIT SANA 2 provides the wearer with excellent comfort and breathability. This inclusion allows air to permeate the exterior, penetrating the shoe, yielding ventilated air. Enhancing the comforting capabilities of the shoe, Asics have redesigned the upper, employing California Slip Lasting for stability and comfort. For Step-in comfort, the Sana 2 upper construction is also formed from a Mono-sock fit system which is an elastic internal sleeve which replaces a traditional tongue providing a "sock-like" fit and feel.
